The capacity it has to instill (in people with a sensitivity clearly above the average) feelings, heartbeats, emotions that we only came to know thru movies, books, or stories that our parents and grandparents told us, exactly with the same intensity it turned on fire the hearts of kids at that time.

This website is a simple tribute to a singer, that grabbed this energy by its invisible hand, and putting it together with his great expressiveness was so strong to cut a hole in the space-time continuum big enough to let our generation peep thru a window on the past that, maybe too quickly, had been locked and labelled “out of style” by the generation before ours.

As for me, being a lover of other genres and other artists as well (mentioning Bon Jovi as my all time fave rock band) I thank my parents from the bottom of my heart for having made Swing and Jazz a huge part of my listening habits while growing up.

I thank them for giving me the opportunity to get in touch with a universe that has had a lot of focal and contact points in my adult life, something that helped me develop the love for a language that now I fluently speak also because of that, something that gave me the passion for travels that brought me many times to the land where this kind of music was born, making it my second home. It really inspired me and enriched me, emotionally speaking for my non professional career as a gospel singer.
